Bettendorf Police are asking for the public’s help in locating David McAllister, who has been missing since May 10, 2017. McAllister, who was 22 years old at the time, was last seen at his home in Bettendorf after leaving early that morning. Family members last heard from him in the early hours of May 11, when he indicated he would return home later that evening. He never arrived, and there has been no confirmed contact since.
McAllister does not own a vehicle, and it is unclear whether he left with someone else. His cellphone was last used shortly before noon on May 11, with the last known location placing him in the central Davenport area. Family members have contacted friends and acquaintances in an effort to locate him, but those efforts have not produced new information.
David McAllister is described as a white male, approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing around 160 pounds. He has medium-length dark blonde hair, blue eyes, and several tattoos. The most distinctive tattoos include the words “STAY” on the inside of his right elbow and “TRUE” on the inside of his left elbow. He also has small tattoos between the thumb and forefinger on both hands, including a symbol on the right hand and a small smiley face on the left. He is known to enjoy camping and hiking.
