James LeRoy Klicker, 85, of Ottumwa died at 7:19 a.m. January 22, 2026 at his residence.
He was born January 10, 1941 in Ottumwa to Gerald and Kathleen Irene Barton Klicker. Jim married Patricia Louise Essary July 15, 1960.
A 1959 graduate of Ottumwa High School, Jim completed a 4-year electrical apprenticeship. Having lived in Michigan and South Dakota, he moved back to Blakesburg in 1976. Jim had worked as an electrician for many places throughout 45 years including Acme Electric. He recently received his IBEW 65th year pin.
Jim had attended Blakesburg Christian Church and had been a member of Masonic Lodge #112 AF & AM in Wayne, MI.
Surviving is his wife, Patricia; 2 daughters, Tammie (Daryl) Hemm of Eldon and Shelle (Mike) Harvey of Blakesburg; 3 grandchildren, Cassie (Brett) Rork, Danielle Leffler and Kelby Klicker; 2 sisters, Kandi (Todd) Canady and Lori Klicker, both of Ottumwa.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Jamie Klicker; and 3 sisters, Janice Snook, Judi Wheeling and Becky Farrell.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday January 26th at Reece Funeral Home with Pastor Ray Lyons officiating. Family will be present to greet friends one hour prior to the service. Cremation will follow the service. Inurnment will be in Eldon Cemetery at a later date.
Memorials may be made to the Loving Shepherd Food Pantry in Blakesburg
