Alliant Energy and the Alliant Energy Foundation have awarded more than $980 to several community causes and nonprofit organizations across Iowa and Wisconsin as part of their third and final community grant cycle of the year.
The company’s grant program is built around four focus areas: community safety and engagement, environmental stewardship, hunger and housing, and workforce readiness.
Under the Community Safety and Engagement category, Wapello Fire and Rescue in Louisa County received a $907 grant to purchase a flammable-materials safety cabinet, helping improve equipment safety for local firefighters.
Within the Workforce Readiness focus area, Pekin Community High School in Jefferson County was awarded a $500 grant to support its First Robotics program during the upcoming season. The funding will help students gain hands-on experience in engineering, problem-solving, and teamwork.
In total for 2025, Alliant Energy has provided more than $2.28 million in community grants.
