In the realm of vibrant souls, a star named Chad Nowlan twinkled the brightest.
Born on the sunny day of August 1, 1980, Chad shared his radiant warmth and joy with the world until December 2, 2025. He was the heart of Burlington, Iowa, where his laughter echoed through the streets, and the rhythm of his dance steps was a familiar, cherished tune. Known endearingly as “Chaddy”, he was the embodiment of charisma, his magnetic energy drawing smiles on the faces of all who had the pleasure of his company. Chaddy was a lover of life, a seeker of mirth, and infinitely adventurous. His was a world where the fizz of a cold soda was a symphony, where the notes of music danced in the air, and where the vibrancy of television shows like “iCarly” sparked his jovial laughter. He was known for his smile and laugh. In the words of Charlie Chaplin, “A day without laughter is a day wasted,” and indeed, no day was wasted in Chad’s loving company. He was the jester in life’s court, the funny man who could turn a moment of sorrow into one of pure joy, his heart brimming with a spunk that was uniquely his.
Survived by his siblings: Chelsea DeJesus, Christa Collins and Chailynn Linville, nieces, Gillie and Myah Simon. Chad also is survived by his aunts and uncles, Sharry Kellogg, Delbert Jr Repp and Ronnie Repp. Chad’s legacy of love and laughter lives on, and his spirit continues to dance in the hearts of those he left behind. His mother, Julie Linville, now welcomes him in the realm beyond, their souls reunited, their laughter echoing through the cosmos.
As we remember Chad, we are reminded of the words of Dr. Seuss, “Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened”. Chad Nowlan happened to us, and for that, we are forever grateful.
A private family burial will happen at a later date. As we celebrate Chad’s life, we encourage all who knew and loved him to leave cherished memories and upload photos to his memorial page.
Let us fill it with the laughter, the love, and the life that was our beloved Chaddy.
