Phyllis M. Faidley (Jarnagin), age 91, of Colfax, passed away on Friday, October 17, 2025. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at the Howard Street Christian Church in Colfax, Iowa, starting at 2:00 PM. Phyllis’ family will greet friends for visitation prior to the funeral from 1:00 – 2:00 PM, at the Howard Street Christian Church. Memorials may be made out to the Alzheimer’s Association or to Colfax Fire and Rescue. The daughter of Ruth A. (Phearman) and George Jarnagin, Phyllis was born on December 30, 1933, in Prairie City, Iowa. She graduated from Monroe High School. After graduation she worked as a secretary. On July 29, 1955, she was united in marriage to Ramon L. Faidley at Tools Point Chapel in Monroe. Once married, she took care of her family’s home and took joy in raising her three children. Later in life Phyllis took classes and worked as a florist. She also loved to bake cakes for different events. Phyllis was known for her enthusiasm for flowers. She’d spend the entire spring setting pots of flowers all over the yard and around the house. She also took great pride in playing the organ at the Howard Street Christian Church for 20 years.
Those left to honor her memory include her children, Marilyn Faidley, Jerry (Teresa) Faidley, and Jeff (Loretta) Faidley; her grandchildren, Jamie (Nicole) Faidley, Jaci (Mike) Schreiber, and Amanda (Michael) Roam; her great grandchildren, Fiona Faidley, Wynn Faidley, Bode Faidley, Landry Schreiber, Lakynn Schreiber, Hailey Pierce, Emilea Roam, Logan Roam, and Liam Roam; two sisters, Linda (Cal) Beam and Shirley Smith; a sister-in-law, Jean Faidley; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death include her husband, Ramon L. Faidley; her parents, Ruth and George Jarnagin and beloved stepfather, Darrell Faidley; and two brothers, Ronald and Dale Faidley.
