Central Lee Superintendent Dr. Andy Crozier was awarded a new 3-year contract by the Central Lee School Board in June. On Monday, that contract was amended to include longevity bonuses to be paid in the event Crozier would leave the district.
Crozier will be working under a contract worth more than $200,000 with a salary of $186,025 and will be paid just over $20,000 a year in a 403b annuity payment in the 2025-26 school year.
The salary is negotiable annually, and the annuity payment, which is in lieu of a family health insurance benefit, increases annually by 2% of each year’s salary – capped at 10%.
In the previous contract, Crozier was paid $177,598 annually. The increase was implemented along with other district employees at the same rate.
On Monday, the board also approved a longevity clause in the contract that would pay Crozier on an increasing scale for unused sick leave as well as 100% of vacation leave remaining at a daily rate based on that year’s salary.
Crozier is a Central Lee alumnus and is in his 10th year as the district’s superintendent. He’s in his 15th year in a superintendent post, including stints at Andrew and Easton Valley school districts.
He served as chairperson of the Iowa High School Athletic Association’s Board of Control.
Crozier ushered in a $13 million expansion of the district’s high school and elementary campus, the new administration office, and an upcoming expansion at the elementary school.
