Pella Middle School’s Hayden Vroom has been awarded the Golden Apple, a rare honor for a teacher still early in his career. Now in just his third year, Vroom is already making a big impact with his energetic teaching style and strong connection to students.
Known for his creative classroom methods and upbeat attitude, Vroom brings a level of energy that inspires both students and fellow staff. His enthusiasm has helped boost classroom engagement and school spirit, earning him nominations from both peers and students.
A Pella native, Vroom graduated from Pella Christian and Central College, and now teaches math and science while also coaching middle school track and assisting with high school football.
His ability to connect with students and create a positive environment is what set him apart—and made him a standout recipient of this year’s Golden Apple Award.
