Former State Representative Dave Heaton (R-Mount Pleasant) passed away Wednesday Feb. 12, 2025.
He most recently represented House District 84, which includes all of Henry County, and parts of Jefferson,Lee and Washington counties.
Heaton also served as a ranking member of the state Health and Human Services subcommittee.
He was first elected to the Iowa House in 1995.His term ended in 2019.
He leaves behind a wife, and two children.
