An Ottumwa man was recently arrested for allegedly committing illicit activities with a child a few years ago.
33-year-old Cory Wiseman was charged with second-degree sexual abuse, a Class B felony.
The Ottumwa Police Department says Wiseman was 29 when he performed a sex act on a 7-year-old child. Authorities say the incident occurred in 2020 or 2021.
A warrant for Wiseman’s arrest was issued on May 30 and he was arrested the following day.
Wiseman is currently lodged in the Wapello County Jail. His bail has been set at $25,000.
Wiseman has an initial hearing scheduled for June 7.
