A Bloomfield woman was arrested after intentionally ramming her car into her estranged husband’s vehicle, according to authorities.

Montana Seibert, 33, has been charged with assault committed by a person against whom a protective order is issued (Class D felony), domestic abuse assault, display or use of weapon – first offense (aggravated misdemeanor), and violation of no contact/protective order (simple misdemeanor).

According to the Ottumwa Police Department, on October 23 at approximately 10:00 PM, Seibert was driving a 2007 Cadillac Escalade and intentionally struck her husband’s vehicle on Swanson Avenue in Ottumwa. Police say the victim was in his car when the incident occurred. Seibert and her husband are separated and are the parents of two children, according to court records.

The criminal complaint states Seibert’s estranged husband had an active no-contact order against her since September 20, 2026.

A warrant for Seibert’s arrest was issued on October 26 and she was taken into custody on November 2.

Seibert is currently lodged in the Wapello County Jail with no bond. She has a preliminary hearing scheduled for November 6.
