The Ottumwa Elks Lodge #347 is inviting hunters and community members to donate deer hides as part of an effort to support veterans.
The donated hides are used to create useful items for veterans, including wheelchair gloves and other products designed to help improve their daily lives.
Organizers say every donated hide can make a difference in supporting those who have served the country. Community members are encouraged to participate by dropping off their deer hides at the Ottumwa Elks Lodge.
The collection provides hunters with an opportunity to put their harvested deer hides to good use while helping support veterans in need.
The lodge welcomes donations from anyone who would like to contribute to the effort. Community members are also encouraged to spread the word to help make the collection a success.
The initiative reflects the Elks’ commitment to giving back to those who have served.
