State Farm Agent Shawn McCarty, serving southeast Iowa from his office at 604 W Burlington in Fairfield, along with Ottumwa Radio Group, would like to congratulate Fairfield Cross Country runner Ava Jones, our 104.3 KRKN Athlete of the Week!
The freshman finished the state qualifying meet in Washington with time of 20:38.5, a personal best, to qualify for the Class 3A State Meet in Fort Dodge. Jones became the first freshman in two decades to qualify for state.
Our KRKN Athlete of the Week feature is made possible thanks to the generosity of Shawn McCarty and State Farm Insurance, plus the cooperation of our area schools. This is a great accomplishment and one to be very proud of. Please join us in congratulating Ava Jones! Shawn McCarty and Ottumwa Radio Group wish you continued success in your athletic and educational endeavors.
