Fans of classic rock will have the chance to relive the music of Creedence Clearwater Revival when COMMOTION returns to the Bridge View Center Theater in Ottumwa on Saturday, January 16, 2027.
The concert begins at 7 p.m., with doors opening at 6 p.m. The tribute band promises an evening of familiar hits from the late 1960s and early 1970s, including “Have You Ever Seen the Rain,” “Bad Moon Rising,” “Fortunate Son,” “Lookin’ Out My Back Door” and “Green River.”
COMMOTION features Iowa Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Jimmy Ryan on guitar. Ryan is a platinum-selling musician who has performed and recorded with well-known artists, including Paul McCartney, Elton John, Mick Jagger, Carly Simon, James Taylor and Rod Stewart.
The band also features vocalist Steve McLain, drummer Mark Ellis and bassist George Foster. Together, the musicians aim to recreate the distinctive sound and energy that made Creedence Clearwater Revival a staple of classic rock radio.
Organizers say the performance will give audiences an opportunity to sing along to some of rock music’s most recognizable songs.
