Ames Man Faces Felony Charges After Driving into Former Cider House Near Fairfield

An Ames man is facing multiple charges, including two felonies, after allegedly driving a vehicle through the doors of the former Cider House building on Pleasant Plain Road in the early morning hours of Friday, October 2nd, according to a press release from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies were dispatched just after 5:00 a.m. following a 911 call reporting that a vehicle had driven into a building in the 1900 block of Pleasant Plain Road. Upon arrival, deputies discovered a blue Dodge Neon had been driven through the doors of the former Cider House building. The driver, identified as Tristan Mosely, 19, admitted to intentionally crashing into the building.

Mosely has been charged with Criminal Mischief in the First Degree, a Class C Felony, Conspiracy to Deliver Marijuana, a Class D Felony, and Possession of Cocaine, a Serious Misdemeanor. He was transported to the Jefferson County Correctional Facility and is being held on a $10,000 bond.
