Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Mike Naig will be in Bloomfield on Saturday, September 26, for the Bloomfield Giant Pumpkin Bash at the Davis County Fairgrounds.
Secretary Naig is expected to be on-site from approximately 10:15 to 11:15 a.m. During his visit, Naig will offer brief remarks, visit with event participants and spectators, and watch as some of the region’s largest pumpkins and other specialty produce are weighed.
The Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship’s Weights and Measures team will be on hand to conduct the official weigh-ins.
The Bloomfield Giant Pumpkin Bash brings together growers and community members to celebrate giant pumpkins and specialty produce from across the region.
