Police: Ottumwa Woman Broke into Apartment, Assaulted Individual

An Ottumwa woman is accused of burglary stemming from an incident in July.

Hallie Kirby, 41, was charged with first-degree burglary, a Class B felony.

Court records say on July 21st at approximately 10:55 PM, Kirby entered an apartment on East Maple Avenue in Ottumwa and intentionally inflicted bodily injury on an individual in the home.

A warrant for Kirby’s arrest was issued on August 28th and she was taken into custody on August 31st.

Kirby is currently in the Wapello County Jail where she is being held without bond pending a hearing from a magistrate judge.
