Marion County Sheriff’s Office Seeks Owners of Unclaimed Property

The Marion County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the rightful owners of several items of lost and found property currently being held by the department.

Anyone who believes they may own one of the items should contact Lt. Schuchhardt at 641-828-2220. Claimants will be required to provide an accurate description of the item, identification, proof of ownership, or proof of lawful possession.

The items include:

  • I-Zip electric bike — 1600 block of Highway 5, 2017
  • 18-foot car trailer — 800 block of Fulton Street, 2018
  • Box cutter and BB gun — Bussey, 2018
  • Female’s ring — Main Street, Knoxville, 2018
  • Ruger handgun — Cordova Park, 2018
  • Taurus handgun — Hickory Ridge, 2020
  • Cellphone — 50th Street and Gear Street, 2021
  • Kent BMX bike — 2300 block of Highway G71, 2023
  • Mongoose BMX bike — 2300 block of Highway G71, 2023
  • Schwinn bicycle — 1800 block of Highway 14, 2023
  • Grease gun — Highway T17, 2026
  • Bag containing racing items — 2000 block of Highway 14, 2026

If an owner is not identified within 90 days, the property will be disposed of in accordance with Iowa law.
