Mahaska Health is recognizing National Nursing Professional Development Week, September 13–19, by highlighting the important role nursing education plays in strengthening patient care and supporting professional growth.

Among those being recognized is Michelle Williams, RN, BSN, Nursing Education Coordinator at Mahaska Health.

Williams supports nursing teams through education, professional development and clinical learning opportunities. Her work helps nurses maintain and expand their knowledge and skills while supporting Mahaska Health’s commitment to quality, compassionate care.

According to Mahaska Health, Williams joined the organization as Education Coordinator in 2020 after previously working as a registered nurse in Surgical Services. In her education role, she coordinates, develops, implements and evaluates learning programs while helping employees maintain required training and certifications.

The Association for Nursing Professional Development recognizes Nursing Professional Development Week each September as an opportunity to highlight the contributions of professionals who support nursing education, competency, leadership development and lifelong learning. In 2026, the observance runs September 13–19.

Mahaska Health is thanking Williams and other nursing education professionals for their continued dedication to learning, development and excellence in patient care.
