Linn County is asking residents to help give eight of its snowplows some new names this winter.
The county has selected 44 creative and humorous names for this year’s Snowplow Naming Contest. Residents can vote for their eight favorite names, with the eight names receiving the most votes becoming the official names of Linn County snowplows.
Some of the finalists include Fast & Flurrious, Clearopathra, Sled Zeppelin, Sleetwood Mac, Plow & Order, Plowzilla, Snow Mater, Tony Snowprano, Plowy McPlowFace, Snowtorious BIG, Mr. Plow, Plowcasso, Taylor Drift and Winter Warrior.
Other entries include Big Leplowski, Scoop Dogg, Snowbacca, Fresh Plowder, Sir Plows-A-Lot, The Snowminator, Dolly Plowton and LollaPlowooza.
The contest gives residents a chance to have some fun while helping put a little personality behind the equipment that keeps Linn County roads clear during the winter months.
Residents can cast their votes for their eight favorite names through the Linn County website.
