Drivers across central and southern Iowa should be prepared for areas of reduced visibility this morning.
The National Weather Service says fog is affecting parts of the region, with visibility around or below one mile in some locations. The advisory includes Wapello County and the Ottumwa area, along with several other counties across central and southern Iowa.
The fog is expected to continue through 11 a.m. Friday.
Motorists are urged to slow down, allow extra following distance and use low-beam headlights while traveling through areas of dense fog. Visibility can change quickly, so drivers should remain alert and be prepared for slower traffic.
