Both Jefferson County high schools crowned their 2026 Homecoming Kings and Queens on Wednesday, September 16th during coronation ceremonies.
For Fairfield, the 2026 Homecoming King and Queen are John Miller and Frances Miller — a twin brother and sister duo selected from a court of 12 senior students. The full Fairfield Homecoming Court includes King candidates Benji Hunter, Ethan Bisgard, Luke Thornton, Voss Richardson, Lane Stever, John Miller, as well as Queen candidates Bella Buckley, Layla Terrell, Frances Miller, Leah Helmick, Leigha Ensminger, and Lydia Cass.
For Pekin, the 2026 Homecoming King and Queen are Gatlin Farrier and Emerson Porter. King candidates were Gatlin Farrier, Aiden Porter, Alijah Brock, Mason Dahlstrom, Henry Adam, and Zandrik Allison. Queen candidates were Emerson Porter, Emma Bayliss, Callie Deutschle, Cambree Earnest, Maddy Petrehn, and Carley Clarahan.
Both schools have full homecoming week celebrations underway. Fairfield’s Homecoming Week runs September 14th through 19th, culminating in a parade at noon on Friday, September 18th, a homecoming football game Friday evening at 7:30, and a Homecoming Dance from 8:00 to 11:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 19th in the FHS Commons.
Pekin’s homecoming festivities continue with a school parade at 12:45 p.m. on Friday, September 18th, followed by the homecoming football game at 7:00 p.m. — at which the school’s 1964 cross country team will be honored at halftime. On Saturday, September 19th, Lee Photography will be available at 7:15 p.m. before the Homecoming Dance runs from 9:00 p.m. to midnight.
