Mylo Wells, PharmD, owner of Wells Hometown Drug with locations in Keosauqua and Bloomfield, has received Cardinal Health’s 2026 Community Leadership Award, according to social media posts from the Iowa Pharmacy Association and Van Buren County Hospital.

The award was presented at the recent RBC meeting in Orlando and recognizes an independent pharmacist who demonstrates a commitment to promoting the principles of community pharmacy. Along with an engraved trophy, the award includes a $10,000 donation made in the recipient’s name — with Wells directing his donation to the Iowa Pharmacy Association.

Van Buren County Hospital, where Wells also serves patients, congratulated him on the achievement. “Mylo’s dedication to providing exceptional care, ensuring medication safety, and serving our patients with compassion and expertise makes a difference every single day,” the hospital said in a social media post. “His commitment to excellence is an important part of our mission to provide quality care close to home.”
