Main Street Ottumwa invites local entrepreneurs, business owners, community leaders, and residents to attend the next Business Brew, a quarterly networking mixer designed to connect current and prospective business owners, professionals, vendors, policymakers, and community members in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.
The event will be held on Thursday, July 16, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in Canteen Alley, 127 E. Main Street, in downtown Ottumwa.
Business Brew provides an opportunity for professionals and community members to share ideas, build partnerships, and learn more about the people, businesses, and organizations that help drive Ottumwa’s economy and quality of life. Whether attendees are longtime business
owners, aspiring entrepreneurs, or simply interested in connecting with others in the community, Business Brew offers an easy and informal way to build relationships.
“Business Brew is one of the best examples of what makes our downtown business community special,” said Kris Patrick, Executive Director of Main Street Ottumwa. “When local business owners, community leaders, and residents come together to share ideas and build relationships, everyone benefits. We hope people from across the community will join us for an evening of conversation and collaboration.”
Main Street Ottumwa extends its appreciation to MCG for sponsoring this quarter’s Business Brew. As a local fiber internet provider, MCG is helping make meaningful connections possible both online and in person through its support of the event.
“Business Brew is all about bringing people together, so MCG is a perfect fit as our sponsor,” said Kris Patrick, Executive Director of Main Street Ottumwa. “Their business is built around connecting people through high-speed fiber internet, and this event is about creating those same kinds of connections within our business community. We’re grateful for their partnership and their investment in downtown Ottumwa.”
The first drink will be provided by Main Street Ottumwa, and light snacks will be available throughout the evening. MCG is generously providing a coupon for $2 off a sandwich at the Canteen for all attendees. There is no formal agenda, allowing attendees to mingle, network, and enjoy the unique atmosphere of downtown Ottumwa.
Admission is free and open to the public.
