Hy-Vee, Inc. is introducing a new GLP-1 wellness program designed to help individuals maximize the benefits of their GLP-1 treatment through better nutrition choices and targeted side effect management.

Free signup is available to the first 1,000 individuals to pre-register online using the discount code GLP1FREE at checkout (normally a $49 value). Individuals can pre-register online here.

The six-week, self-guided online program is scheduled to begin in mid-July and is open to anyone ages 18+. It will include three one-on-one check-ins with a Hy-Vee registered dietitian (in-person or online), 10 video modules and will offer personalized goal setting and support. The program will cover a variety of topics including:

  • Managing common side effects
  • Meeting protein needs
  • Eating smaller, frequent meals
  • Hydration strategies
  • Building balanced meals
  • Increasing fiber intake
  • Smart snacking ideas
  • Meal prep basics
  • Preventing nutrient deficiencies
  • Resistance training and muscle preservation

Customers can also enroll in the program using HSA or FSA funds.

Medicare GLP-1 Bridge Program
Hy-Vee’s GLP-1 wellness program follows the recent launch of Medicare’s new GLP-1 Bridge program, which is in effect nationwide from July 1, 2026, through Dec. 31, 2027.

The Medicare GLP-1 Bridge program is specifically designed for Medicare patients who are prescribed GLP-1 treatment solely for weight loss or weight management, providing eligible patients access to certain GLP-1 medications for $50 per month at pharmacies across the nation, including Hy-Vee’s more than 270 pharmacies.

Those who are prescribed a GLP-1 to treat other conditions such as diabetes or sleep apnea, do not qualify for the special pricing under the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge program.

Individuals should consult with their provider or pharmacist to determine eligibility. For further assistance, they can contact 1-800-MEDICARE.
