Iowa State University Extension and Outreach is now accepting nominations for its annual Iowans Impacting Agriculture recognition, an award that honors individuals making a meaningful difference in Iowa’s agricultural industry and rural communities.
The recognition highlights leaders who demonstrate innovation, vision and a commitment to strengthening agriculture across the state. According to ISU Extension and Outreach, nominees may be recognized for improving economic resilience, conserving natural resources, supporting their communities or serving as influential leaders within the agricultural sector.
Madeline Schultz, an agriculture and natural resources extension specialist with ISU Extension and Outreach, says the award is designed to celebrate Iowans who are creating positive change and helping build a more sustainable future for the state.
Nominations are open through midnight on June 30. Anyone may submit a nomination through a brief online application. The form asks for information about the nominee’s leadership, contributions and overall impact on agriculture.
ISU Extension and Outreach employees are not eligible for the recognition.
Those selected will be honored during the 10th Annual Ag Leadership Conference, scheduled for Dec. 2 and 3 at the Gateway Hotel and Convention Center in Ames.
