Iowa PBS to feature Highway 163 on Season 3 of Road Trip Iowa

Places along Highway 163 will be featured on an upcoming episode of Iowa PBS’s series Road Trip Iowa. The episode will premiere Monday, June 29 at 9 p.m. 

In this episode of Road Trip Iowa, take a drive along Highway 163 between Prairie City and Ottumwa. From biplanes and buffalos, to high bank turns and wooden shoes, exploring Highway 163 offers a wide variety of fun.

The episode will visit: 

  • Antique Airfield in Blakesburg
  • City of Bridges in Ottumwa
  • Southern Iowa Speedway in Oskaloosa
  • Lake Red Rock in Knoxville
  • Cordova Observation Tower in Otley
  • Pella Tulip Time
  • Neal Smith National Wildlife Refuge and Goldie’s Ice Cream Shoppe in Prairie City

Season 3 of Road Trip Iowa returns for an all new adventure across the state, showcasing historic sites, unique attractions and natural beauty along the way. After exploring Iowa’s scenic byways in the first two seasons, the series now hits the highways—uncovering even more communities and must-see destinations across Iowa.
