The City of Ottumwa says a street on the north side will be closed in relation to new housing in the area.
Beginning Thursday, June 18 East Alta Vista Avenue will be closed to through traffic between North Elm Street and North Ash Street for sanitary sewer work associated with the Vogel Heights project.
Once the sewer work is done, the city says the pavement on East Alta Vista Avenue will be repoured before the road is reopened to traffic. The closure is expected to last two weeks, weather permitting. Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes during this time, and travelers are urged to exercise caution if in this area.
