Les Grubb, 73, of Oskaloosa, passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at the Mahaska Hospice Serenity House in Oskaloosa.
Leslie Grubb, son of Mayo and Eunice (Ahrens) Grubb, was born September 24, 1952, in Oskaloosa, Iowa. Growing up, Les attended Oskaloosa Senior High School and graduated with the class of 1970. After high school, Les attended college for a while before enlisting in the United States Air Force.


After his discharge, Les returned to Oskaloosa, where he was employed as a carpenter and did handyman work for any project. He was a skilled craftsman and particularly enjoyed woodworking.
In his free time, Les enjoyed riding RAGBRAI, camping, fishing, and many enjoyable evenings grilling with his friends.
Les was a member of the American Legion.


Les’s family includes his two daughters: Angie (Darren) Shain of Oak Park, CA, and their children: Andie, Jacob, and Makena; Carly Estes of Spokane, WA, and her children: Camille, Cayden, and Cassandra; a sister, Nancy (Dave) Sorrell of Washington, IA; and an aunt, Mildred Borts of Mingo, IA.


Les was preceded in death by his parents, Mayo and Eunice Grubb, and many aunts and uncles.
Celebration of life will be held at The American Legion in Oskaloosa on Friday, June 5th, at noon. Memorials can be made to the Mahaska Health Hospice Serenity House.
