Ottumwa Police responded to a report of a possible violation of a court-issued no-contact order involving an alleged confrontation at a private residence.
On April 14 at approximately 10:03 a.m., the Ottumwa Police Department responded to the 100 block of Taft Circle for a reported violation of a no-contact order.
According to a criminal complaint, Frankie Rodarte, 67, of Ottumwa, allegedly went to the victim’s residence and assaulted the victim. Court documents state that Rodarte and the victim are subject to a valid no-contact order that was issued on March 20.
Rodarte was arrested at the scene and is currently being held in the Wapello County Jail on a $300 cash/surety bond. He is charged with violation of a no-contact/protective order, a simple misdemeanor.
A preliminary conference is scheduled for May 14.
