Young women interested in competing in the 2026 Jefferson County Fair Queen Contest are invited to an informational meeting this Sunday, April 12th at 4:00 p.m. at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds in the Cambridge Building.
The contest is open to girls ages 16 to 21 as of August 1st, 2026. The meeting is designed to give prospective participants a chance to learn what the contest involves at both the county fair and state fair level, ask questions, and meet others who may be considering participating. There is no pressure or commitment required to attend.
Organizers say the Queen Contest is an opportunity to gain confidence, build leadership skills, and make lasting memories. Prospective participants are encouraged to bring a friend along to check it out together.
