Sally Bower, 84, of Ottumwa died at 6:20 a.m. February 26, 2026 at Jefferson County Health Center surrounded by her loved ones.
She was born April 8, 1941 in Ottumwa to Doug and Pauline Lint LeGrande.
A 1959 graduate of Ottumwa High School, Sally married Jim Bower in 1959 and they later divorced.
Sally enjoyed shopping, gambling, traveling and visiting her sister and family. Sally lived with her son, Eddie for the past 29 years.
Sally is surviving by her children, Greg (Val) Bower of Earlham, Eddie (Sheila) Bower of Richland and Jill (John) Hedtke of New Germany, MN; 8 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; a great-great grandchild; and her sister and brother-in-law, George and Dolores Scott of Oklahoma.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Ronald LeGrande.
Her body has been cremated. A time to celebrate her life will be held at a later date.
