Former Navy helicopter pilot Ryan Peterman officially filed his nomination petitions and affidavit to get on the ballot for the Democratic nomination for Secretary of State. Peterman submitted more than double the required signatures, from supporters all across the state – showcasing the grassroots momentum he is building with his race.
“I’m incredibly grateful to every volunteer who helped us collect signatures, and to every Iowan who took the time to sign my petition,” Peterman said. “Now the campaign season is officially underway, and I’m committed to running a race grounded in honor and integrity, and working every day to ensure we protect Iowans’ right to vote.”
Peterman remains the only Democrat to have filed for Secretary of State.
