In a recent incident involving law enforcement, officers from a specialized unit conducted a home visit at a residence identified as a travel trailer.
On March 2nd, at approximately 10:28 AM, High Risk Unit Officers conducted a home visit for Kendrick Jackson, 41, in Blakesburg.
When officers arrived, Jackson was the only person present. According to court filings, he consented to a search of the residence. During the search, law enforcement discovered an Anderson Manufacturing AM-15 rifle in the bathroom and subsequently seized it.
The criminal complaint confirms that Jackson has previous felony convictions in Wapello County. Additionally, he is named as the defendant in a protection order issued in Mahaska County, which was served to him on June 3, 2025.
An arrest warrant was served on Jackson on March 10th. He is currently detained in the Wapello County Jail, with a bond set at $5,000 cash/surety. Jackson faces charges for dominion/control of a firearm/offensive weapon by a felon, classified as a Class D felony.
