Ashley Nicole Ross, a compassionate soul whose love for her children and family was paramount, departed this world on February 18, 2026.
Born on July 3, 1995, in Ottumwa, Iowa, Ashley grew into a woman of remarkable character, touching the lives of everyone she met with her thoughtfulness and an inspiring spirit. She had a unique way of lighting up any room with her captivating energy and unforgettable smile. Ashley spent her early years in Centerville, transitioning to Moulton High School for her senior year, where she graduated in 2013. Demonstrating her inherent bravery, she enlisted with the National Guard while still in high school – a testament to her unwavering spirit. Ashley had found her calling as a caretaker, working at Homestead in Centerville. This role allowed her to extend her loving nature to those she cared for, offering comfort and companionship to those in their golden years.
Ashley’s pastimes included a myriad of activities that showcased her diverse interests, from softball and coaching to arts and crafts, automotive work, and fishing. Her love for films was also evident, often seen sharing her favorite movies with her beloved children, Gabriel and Ivory. To Ashley, her children were her world, a sentiment echoed by those who knew her. Ashley’s life, while brief, was filled with moments of joy, laughter, and love, painting a vivid picture of a woman whose legacy will be cherished forever. Those who were fortunate enough to know Ashley will remember her as a beacon of love, compassion, and inspiration.
A Graveside will be held later in the Spring in Sharon Chapel Cemetery which is Southeast of Centerville.
