Patrick Joseph Griffith, 64, of Ottumwa, died at 8:15 a.m. February 13, 2026 at home surrounded by family and friends.
He was born March 22, 1961 in Waterloo to Donald G. and LaVon M. Busey Griffith.
A 1979 graduate of Cedar Falls High School, Patrick had worked at Busey Trucking Equipment and Midwest Power Lines. Most recently, he was Maintenance and Hiring Director at JBS.
Patrick was an amazing woodworker and enjoyed drawing, being outdoors, flower gardening and making people laugh. He loved spending time with family, especially his daughter, Lea and granddaughter, Hayley.
Surviving are his children, Lea Miller of Ottumwa; bonus daughters, Laurie Terrell of Cedar, Shelby Felix of Yuma, AZ, Laci Lunsford-Davis of Des Moines; a son-in-law, Ryan Miller; a daughter-in-law, Dianne Griffith; 4 grandchildren, Hayley Miller, Sam Griffith, Jonah Griffith, Zoe Griffith; 2 sisters, Deb Griffith of Lake Wappapello, MO, Cathy (Jim) Jensen of Raymond, IA; a brother, Mike (Felicia) Griffith of Shreveport, LA.
He was preceded in death by his parents; stepdad, Billy “Uncle Dad” Griffith; 2 brothers, Brian Griffith and Donald Griffith.
Visitation will begin 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 17th, at Reece Funeral Home with the family present to greet friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, February 18th, at Reece Funeral Home. Cremation will follow the service.
Memorials may be made to the family to be designated for Hayley’s college fund.
