The Ottumwa Symphony Orchestra introduced this year’s chair for the annual favorite event “Divas Who Dish”, Kathi Loucks.

Kathi is an avid baker, mother to 5 children and tireless volunteer for causes she believes in. Loucks, along with co-chair Bonnie Showalter, share that the most pressing need for the upcoming event is a few more participants.

Ladies of any age who love to cook can take part in the event as chefs at the Knights of Columbus Club 888 on April 25, 2025, from 6-8:30 pm. Below are the details:

  • Each chef is asked to prepare 300 sample-size servings of their favorite recipe in one of the following categories: Pre-Dining (soup/appetizer/salad/side-dish); Entree, or Dessert.
  • Each chef will be allowed one or two additional team members.
  • Judging standards consist of taste, originality and presentation.
  • Outstanding chefs in each food category will be selected by professional judges. In addition, a “People’s Choice” award will be selected by a vote of all those attending.

All profits from this event go to fund the presentation of concerts and youth concerts for the Ottumwa Symphony Orchestra organization.

To sign up as a participant or for further details, please reach out by e-mail to Kathi Loucks at kloucks7191@gmail.com.
