A Knoxville man was arrested after police allegedly reviewed videos of him abusing a female victim.
On January 29, the Knoxville Police Department investigated a domestic abuse case occurring between April 5, 2024, and September 2025.
This information was obtained from court documents related to the ongoing investigation.
Court fillings state,during the investigation, law enforcement reviewed recorded videos dated April 5, 2024, showing Cody Kaster, 24, of Knoxville, spraying the victim in the face and pouring a bottle of soda over her head. Two children were reportedly present during this incident.
Court records mentions video dated April 6, 2024, shows Kaster throwing an object at the victim, causing injury to her breasts, and physically grabbing her arm, ultimately throwing her to the ground. Additional video evidence shows a physical struggle in which Kaster held the victim’s leg, causing her to lose her balance and fall onto her knee and forearms.
Provide from the Court documents, May 30, 2024, another video depicts Kaster dragging the victim into a bedroom by her feet and forcefully removing her pants. Two children were reportedly present during this incident as well.
Following the investigation, the Knoxville Police Department issued an arrest warrant for Kaster. On February 2, the warrant was executed, and Kaster was taken into custody at the Marion County Jail. He was later released on a $1,000 cash/surety bond.
A preliminary hearing for the case is scheduled for February 13. Kaster is facing charges of Domestic Abuse Assault – Injury or Mental Illness, 1st offense, classified as a serious misdemeanor.
