The Jefferson County Little League has extended its registration deadline to March 20th as the organization prepares for the upcoming spring season.
JCLL President Chet Vogt announced the extension but encouraged parents and coaches to register as soon as possible so the board can organize tryout lists.
Tryout Schedule
Tryouts will be held at the end of March:
- Baseball: Tuesday, March 24th
- Softball: Thursday, March 26th
Parents will be contacted once the player lists are compiled to confirm which players need to report for tryouts.
Practice and Game Schedule
The season will follow a staggered start based on division:
Majors Baseball and Softball / Minors Player Pitch Baseball and Softball:
- Practices begin: Week of March 30th
- Games begin: Week of April 20th
T-Ball and Minors Coach Pitch:
- Practices begin: Week of April 20th
- Games begin: Week of April 27th
The season will conclude on June 5th for all divisions.
Registration Information
Vogt emphasized the importance of early registration to help the league organize teams and schedules efficiently. Both players and coaches need to register.
“If possible, encourage or help others to sign up too,” Vogt said. “The more kids that sign up, the more teams we can form in our own league.”
