Jefferson County Health Center (JCHC) has announced plans to open a new primary care clinic in Ottumwa on April 20th, 2026.
JCHC Clinic | Ottumwa will be located at 1000 Wildwood Drive and will provide primary care services through scheduled appointments for patients of all ages.
In addition to primary care services, JCHC supports continuity of care for patients requiring specialty services. At JCHC’s main campus in Fairfield, the health center offers access to oncology care, general surgery, orthopedic surgery, and a variety of visiting specialists, allowing many patients to receive specialty care locally.
“Our goal is to be a reliable and trusted healthcare partner for this community by offering accessible primary care and helping patients navigate next steps in their care,” said Curtis Smith, Chief Operating Officer at JCHC.
The community is invited to an open house on Tuesday, April 14th, from 4 to 6 p.m. at 1000 Wildwood Drive in Ottumwa.
The event will open to the public at 5:00 p.m., with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 5:30 p.m. Drinks and light refreshments will be available and attendees can tour the clinic and meet the team.
While JCHC Clinic | Ottumwa prepares to open, JCHC encourages patients seeking immediate primary care access to consider the following options:
- JCHC Clinic | Fairfield (641-472-4156) – Accepting new primary care patients
- JCHC Clinic | Richland (319-456-2058) – Accepting new primary care patients
- JCHC Walk-In Clinic | Fairfield (641-472-4156) – Open 7 days a week for non-emergent conditions
“Ottumwa, we’re getting closer,” JCHC shared on social media. “The plans for JCHC Clinic | Ottumwa have been in the works, and the opening is now in sight.”
