Fairfield High School senior Lexi Megrath has committed to continue her dance career at Mount Mercy University.
Megrath, who is also a member of High Temperature Dance Academy in Fairfield, will join the Mount Mercy dance program next fall.
Mount Mercy University Dance Coach Lainee Uitermarkt first met Megrath at the Iowa State Dance Team Association combine held each fall.
“After that event, we stayed connected, got her on campus for a visit and recruit clinic where we got to watch her dance more individually and with our current team members,” Uitermarkt said.
The coach praised Megrath’s abilities and potential contributions to the program.
“She’s a really dynamic and athletic mover, so she will be a great addition to our program at Mount Mercy as we continue to elevate,” Uitermarkt said.
