Alta Fern Swindler, 84, of Ottumwa died January 16, 2026 at her home.
She was born June 21, 1941 in Milton to Ira Ellison and Grace Ellen Thomas Reisch. She married Larry Swindler September 27, 1959.
She is survived by her husband, Larry; a daughter, Amber Hendricks of Ottumwa; 3 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; a sister Ruth Hewitt of Grand Junction, CO.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, David Swindler; 2 sisters, Beulah Marie Reisch, Edna Christene Bell.
Her body has been cremated and no services are planned at this time.
