A market analyst says he expects on-going price volatility to continue in 2026.
Jim McCormick with AgMarket-dot-net says weather could play a large role. “Not just for beans, but for all commodities. We are well stocked in the world assuming the weather cooperates. Argentina weather looks good. Brazil weather looks good.”
He tells Brownfield the trade will likely be watching demand and key USDA data. “Will, A – China fulfill the 12 million (metric tons), B- how will the shipments go? Then we do have the big January crop report coming out and we’ll see if we revise the size of this year’s crop which will change the dynamic of the market a little bit.”
The January USDA supply and demand report will issue the final yield and production numbers for 2025. It will be released on January 12th at 12 p.m. Eastern, 11 a.m. Central.
