Patricia Lorraine Haskins of Keosauqua, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, December 10, 2025 at her home.

She was born April 1, 1939, in Fairbury, Illinois, the daughter of Ruth (McEvoy) and Burnell Watson from Chatsworth, Illinois. She married Audrie Haskins in 1957 at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Chatsworth. Together, they raised five children: Mike (Trudi) of Montgomery, Alabama; Doug (Deann) of Pewaukee, Wisconsin; Rich of Keosauqua, Iowa; Rose (Shawn) of Albuquerque, New Mexico; and Becky (Clint) of Keosauqua, Iowa. Throughout her life, she dedicated herself to hard work and caring for others. She began working as a nurse’s aide while in high school. After raising their four older children, Pat became the editor of the Chatsworth Plain Dealer for three years. She worked in real estate for years. She and Audrie owned several businesses over the years: Haskins Auction Service, a used furniture store, and later converted a Western Auto into Haskins Home & Auto. She worked for the Illinois Department of Corrections Human Resources department for 20 years, spending 7 years in Pontiac and 13 years in Dwight. After retirement, she continued her service to others as a Ford County Board of Supervisor for 12 years.

She lived in several Illinois communities, including Chatsworth, Onarga, Piper City, and Sibley, before making her home in Keosauqua, Iowa. She was active in her community and enjoyed her involvement in Cub Scouts (serving as a den mother), 4-H, being a member of the mouthy Mother’s Club, and Ford County home extension (serving as President)

She is survived by her children, her sister Ruth and brother Cletus, along with 18 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, many nieces and nephews, and many close friends who brought her endless pride and joy. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; son, William; her siblings Richard and Theresa; and a Grandson, Mark McKinley. She will be remembered for her kindness, her strong work ethic, and her love for her family.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday December 16, 2025 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Farmington at 11:00 A.M. with Father Dan Dorau officiating. Visitation will open at 2:00P.M. with the family present from 5:00 to 7:00PM on Monday December 15, 2025 at Cranston Family Funeral Home in Keosauqua.

Burial will be at later date in St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Chatsworth, Il.
