An Iowa farmer is looking forward to the positive impact of certain policies included in the One Big Beautiful Bill Act.
Cordt Holub, who grows corn and soybeans in the northeast part of the state, says estate tax relief is welcome.
“Earlier this month, we saw the sale of farmland for over $30,000 an acre in Iowa. And it’s just crazy where things are headed and where things are going, and being able to increase exemptions on the estate tax is going to (provide) a little peace of mind for farmers that the next generation can hopefully still be around and continue that farming family legacy.”
Starting January 1st, the One Big Beautiful Bill Act permanently increases the federal estate tax exemption to $15 million per individual and $30 million per married couple.
