Alberta Marie Stevens, 85, of Ottumwa died at 10:58 p.m. December 17, 2025 at Ottumwa Regional Health Center.
She was born December 16, 1940 in Iowa City to George and Alberta Parlee Farrell. She married Skip Stevens September 9, 1961 and he preceded her in death March 7, 2023.
A resident of Ottumwa all of her life, Alberta was a homemaker, raising her family while working for the Brody family and at O’Hara Hardware. Most importantly, she greatly loved her grandchildren.
Surviving are her children, Kurt Stevens and Kristine Starks both of Ottumwa; 4 grandchildren, Jaden, Sage, Asher and Payne; 2 great-grandchildren, Airasin and Rome; a brother, David Farrell of California; and a sister-in-law, Norma Farrell of Ottumwa.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, John, Charles, Robert, Harry and Bill Farrell; a half-brother, George Farrell Jr.; and son-in-law, Neil Starks.
Her body has been cremated. Visitation with the family present to greet friends will be 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, December 21st at Reece Funeral Home.
