Several City offices will be closed for the Christmas and New Year’s holidays including:
- City of Ottumwa departments and offices at City Hall will be closed Thursday, December 25 and Friday, December 26 in observance of the Christmas holiday. Departments and offices will also be closed Thursday, January 1 for New Year’s Day.
- The Ottumwa Police Department Records Desk will be closed Thursday, December 25 and Friday, December 26 along with Thursday, January 1.
- The Ottumwa, Calvary and Jewish Cemetery office at 1302 N. Court will be closed Thursday, December 25 and Friday, December 26. The cemetery office will also be closed Thursday, January 1.
- The Ottumwa Public Library will be closing at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 24, closed Thursday and Friday, December 25 and 26, and closed Thursday, January 1.
- The Ottumwa/Wapello Landfill and the Recycling Center will be closed Thursday, December 25 and Thursday, January 1.
- Regular Monday, Wednesday, and Friday waste collection will occur the weeks of Christmas and New Year’s Day. All yard waste, bulky items, and County collection will be collected on Tuesday, December 23 and Tuesday, December 30.
- Ottumwa Water and Hydro offices will be closed Wednesday, December 24 and Thursday, December 25 along with Wednesday, December 31 and Thursday, January 1.
- The Beach offices will be closed December 24-26 with the building being closed on December 24 and 25.
