The Van Buren County Warriors football program concluded its season with impressive recognition across Class A District 5, earning five first-team all-district selections and honoring standout performances at the team’s awards ceremony.
All-District Honors
First Team
Five Warriors earned first-team all-district recognition for their performances this season:
- Kayden Simmons – Running Back
- Quaid Harryman – Tight End
- Beau Johnson – Offensive Lineman
- Jace Duncan – Punter
- Kaimrin Ellingson – Defensive Lineman
Second Team
Four additional players earned second-team all-district honors:
- Ethan Cochenour – Tight End
- Ryder Simmons – Offensive Lineman
- Kaden Miller – Defensive Lineman
- Jaydan Pilcher – Linebacker
Honorable Mention
Three Warriors received honorable mention recognition:
- Will Cocherell – Quarterback
- Colton Kirkhart – Defensive Lineman
- Keagan Young – Special Teams/Utility Player
Academic Excellence
Fourteen Warriors earned all-academic honors, demonstrating success both on the field and in the classroom:

Team Awards
At the Warriors’ year-end banquet, several players were recognized for their contributions throughout the season.
Kayden Simmons swept the program’s top three individual honors, earning Most Valuable Player, Most Valuable Offensive Player, and Most Valuable Defensive Player awards—a rare triple achievement recognizing his two-way dominance.
Keagan Young was named Most Improved Varsity Player, capping his growth with all-district honorable mention recognition.
LyRick Krouse earned Most Improved Junior Varsity Player honors, showing promise for the program’s future.
Finn Smith received the Most Valuable Scout Player award for his contributions to the team’s preparation throughout the season.
Parker Boley was honored as Most Valuable Special Teams Player for his work in the kicking game.
Connor Sedore received the prestigious Robert Adams Warrior Award, the program’s highest honor recognizing leadership, character, and dedication to Warrior football.
