A central Iowa farmer says his 2025 soybeans were some of the best he’s ever raised.
Morey Hill of Madrid tells Brownfield, “I was very pleased with the bean yield. You hear of it being hit or miss, but I must have been a hit because it was some of the best beans I’ve ever had.”
He credits the success to timely fungicide applications.
“That field that did the best, it got fungicide I think at the right time. We’ve been hearing results that the timing is critical on that. By luck of the draw, I think I must of hit it just right.”
Hill says he was also pleased with his corn crop despite some yield reductions due to disease pressure.
