The Mount Pleasant Police Department is excited to announce the return of its annual Toy Drive, aimed at helping local families in need during the holiday season.
The department is now accepting submissions for families who could benefit from the program. Referrals can be made anonymously, but organizers ask that the names and ages of the children, along with a phone number and address, be provided. The deadline to submit a family is Tuesday, December 16, 2025.
New toy donations will be accepted through Thursday, December 19, with distribution scheduled for Sunday, December 22. Collection boxes are located at the Mount Pleasant Police Department, and donations are intended exclusively for local residents. Organizers remind the community that this drive is for children under 18, and adults are not eligible to receive gifts.
The police department is partnering once again with The Fellowship Cup, Toys for Tots, and several other local organizations and businesses to ensure every participating family receives support. Families who have already signed up with another organization, or who received assistance through this program last year, will not be eligible. Submissions must come from the custodial parent or guardian of the children being referred.
Any extra gifts remaining after distribution may be offered to others the following day. Updates and additional information will be shared on the Mount Pleasant Police Department Facebook page.
