Main Street Ottumwa is excited to invite community members and volunteers to participate in a special Giving Tuesday Postcard Drive on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the Main Street Ottumwa Office, 334 E Main Street.
This Giving Tuesday, volunteers are encouraged to stop by the office and fill out postcards highlighting what they love most about Downtown Ottumwa, from favorite shops and restaurants to the vibrant downtown streetscape. Each postcard will be mailed to the volunteer’s friends and family, inviting them to support Main Street Ottumwa with a tax-deductible donation.
“We want our supporters to help tell the story of why Downtown Ottumwa matters,” said Main Street Ottumwa Executive Director Kris Patrick. “A personal message goes a long way in inspiring others to invest.”
To thank Main Street’s incredible volunteers, chili and beverages will be provided for all participants. Volunteers are also encouraged to send their Christmas card address lists in advance to zach@mainstreetottumwa.com. Main Street Ottumwa will print postcard labels and provide an extra set of labels for volunteers to use with their holiday cards.
